Everyday, we are embraced by social media. It seems that people cannot survive a minute without it. Now, let me talk about my social media activity: past, present and future.
I still remember the excitement when I applied for a QQ account back in 2008. At that time, QQ looks like this and it does not have many functions. My QQ was mainly used for playing a game called QQ pet during my primary school period. When I wanted to ask my friends about the homework that day, I would text them or call them with a phone like that. I believe you all had the experience of using this kind of phones in the past few years.
This picture is much familiar, isn’t it? As the most popular social media in China, QQ has become an important communication tool in people’s daily life. When I call my parents, I never use my phone. Instead, I use QQ to call them because it is both cheap and convenient. Another social media that has affected my life deeply is TAOBAO, which works as my online wardrobe and supermarket. It changed my way of shopping and saved a lot of time for me.
But the abundant social media also leads to a lot problems. When we are having dinner together, I noticed that everyone is holding a phone in their hands. Internet addiction has now become a world wide problem. In the future, I will try to spend less time on social network and devote myself to reading books and communicating with people in reality.
