Nature 1 Nature vs. Nature 2 Nature vs. Nurture and active correlation. Passive correlation is when genetics is passed down through generations. My singing talent would be an example of passive correlation. Evocative occurs when an individual portrays different reactions from their parents, peers and others. This can range from anything that an individual can learn from others. Active correlation takes place when people choose experiences that match with their genetically influences past which does not mean that there are no environmental influences on behavior. A person who inhibits taking drugs due to their families influence with drugs but society can also influence this. After identifying these classes, I feel genetics play a major role in someone’s life but that genetics actsonly as an influence. If I encountered enough experiences, it can in turn affect s the way I act for the remainder of mylife. In other words, if an environmental background is changed than genetics can change. There has been a debate over who we are and what we will become. Do inherited genes or the surrounding environment influence one’s intelligence, ability, development and most importantly one’s behavior? We know this controversy as the nature versus nurture conflict. There are some that would argue that our lives are influenced by our genetic background while others would say that the environment that surrounds us determines who we are. There is also the few that would say that both the environment and our genetics encompass who we are and what we become in our lives. These conflicting ideas have caused different ideas and theories that have continued to be a growing argument. Let’s start from the beginning.
There are three classifications of genetic relations: passive correlation, evocative
and active correlation. Passive correlation is when genetics is passed down through generations. My singing talent would be an example of passive correlation....
