Not As Easy As It Seems

Abstract
Health care in the minds of many Americans equals a high bill eventually needing to be paid by someone. There are plenty that have their own private insurance, but there are also millions who do not have any such opportunity for affordable health care. Over the past decade the idea of a universal health care system has always been a hot topic within the minds of citizens and politicians. While there is currently a system that will be attempted, is it the right one? Or, is the idea of a universally free system, such as Canada, a better way to go? A system of free healthcare will never exist because someone will always have to pay for it, but also a universally free system would actually be disastrous to those who would have to wait in line for even serious medical conditions. Ultimately, the people can have their say by voting, but will it be the right one?

Not As Easy As It Seems
The thought of having available health care at no cost sounds like a wonderful idea. Simply being able to walk into a clinic and get treated for what is ailing you and walk out without having to worry about the bill being sent in the mail would be wonderful. But, who exactly is going to pay for the bill? Everyone is going to be paying for the service in some fashion. There are many people who would take the system for granted and go to the clinics for the slightest cough or sneeze. The problem arises when it comes down to the costs for the care. There are people who are going to be more than willing to pay what is necessary to cover the costs, but there are so many more that are not willing to have to pay for another person’s medical bills.
Already in place is a medical program for those who are in the military of the United States. There are many who would call the health care provided by the government for those who are or who did serve as what they deserve for the duty, deployments, or other work they...
