The loss of teeth makes people be unable to chew well food because of the discomfort to cut and grind food large and hard. Such problems can cause gastric disorders or problems of digestion by lack of teeth and this makes people opt to have a diet based on soft foods and liquids, this often induces weight loss
It is the branch of dentistry responsible for returning function, aesthetics and oral harmony by treatment of rehabilitation of teeth. This treatment is called as dental prosthesis.
What is a denture?
It is an artificial element to restore or reinstate the anatomy of one or more teeth, lost parts. Among its functions are provide support and stability to the patient.
Types of dentures: fixed, removable, and mixed.

It is what the patient cannot remove, since it is cemented to teeth that the patient has. A single missing tooth or tooth structure lost by parts called crowns can be rehabilitated. It can be made of different materials (metal and porcelain, all porcelain, acrylic and others)

They are prostheses that can be removed and put, by the patient. These can be full or partial. And they must be removed from the mouth daily for cleaning and hygiene.
What are the types of dentures:
Removable partial denture: when to override only a part of the teeth.
Removable complete dentures: replaces all of the teeth and the maxillary and mandibular dental arches.

Mixed prosthesis
It is the combination of which the patient is a part of your prosthesis that is removed and will replace and another part set (cemented to your natural teeth).
