OUTREACH PROGRAM 2009
(AT SAN ANTONIO, ANTIPOLO CITY)
It was January 25, 2009 at 3 in the morning; I woke up to prepare myself for the outreach that we are all waiting for. But before I continue, I will tell all the happenings before that day comes.
I am Czarina, the Secretary of the group 2 of section T-11 under Mrs. Solomon, with the subject Management 8. Let’s start with my group mates. We are 14 in our group here as follows: Mitch (Leader), Me (Secretary), Jhoie (Treasurer), Brenda, Donnalyn, Donna Mae, Eden, Israel, Jolly, Kenneth, Kayzee, Mheng, Philip and Thomas. We as a group wisely planned everything from the budget, food, goods, games, transportation, etc. And execute everything with practical thinking. I, myself volunteered to do the groceries. I chose 5 person from my members to help me and they were Brenda, Jhoie, Israel, Philip & Thomas. We all have fun after those errands we’ve done. We all say to ourselves that it was enjoyful buying lots of pieces of goods because it’s like were very rich. In continuation, even the heavy rain becomes a hindrance for us to be able to buy 28kls of rice at the market, but still we continued to finish all things for 1day. Were like packing the goods with our wet shirts and pants. We all have fun even wearing wet clothes. Also, about our song and dance number, it was wonderful! Even I’m not good in dancing but the bonding we all have while practicing was unforgettable. I will never regret being part of that group.
Everything that we all need for the outreach was ready and just in time. Going to Antipolo was not that boring because with lots of jokes and stories we all shared while traveling. Then when we got there, I was shocked with lots of kids that I saw. At that moment, immediately comes to my mind, “Does our prepared food enough for them? Can we make everything successful and fun?” And then we encountered sound system problem, but with the help of one of the organizers there we have our very loud sound...
