So you’re ready to party but don’t know where to start? Let me help you plan the greatest party of the year and you will even be able to enjoy it. When most people decide to throw a party they end up not enjoying it because it was planned poorly. They end up having guest that they don’t want, food that’s nasty or not enough, to small of a venue or too much room, boring party games or none at all. A party should be enjoyable, fun and a night to remember. This party will define you so let’s make it an impressive one.
Pick a place. Where will it be? How much room do you need? This step is first because it’s the most important. It’s not a party without location. Location is everything. If you plan on having quite a few guest having it at your home is not a good idea unless you stay in a mansion. Also if you’re a private person having it at your home is certainly out of the question. So if you’re expecting to throw a blowout make sure to find your venue as soon as possible because some venues require you to book in advance. So make it happen quick.
Decide on a theme. What is your party about? Is it a birthday celebration, welcome home, engagement etc. if throwing it for someone make sure and think about what that person likes. Make sure the theme is exciting and will hold your party goers attention. Boring themes will make for a boring party. If it’s a small group don’t worry about a theme. Never should you do a pot luck. You will end up with a bunch of leftover food to throw away and some offended guest because someone didn’t eat any of the bologna casserole.
Determine a time and date. Once again the time and date kind of tie into the picking of the venue. You must know the date so that if you are having it at another location they have the available time and date that you are looking for.
