Essay On Pakistan And Her Neighbours.
Pakistan is situated in Southern Asia. Its geographical position has made her very important for big powers of the world. That is why they have always tired to influence Pakistan's relations with her neighbours. We have two big powers as our immediate neighbours i.e. Russia and china. Our third neighbour, India, is also trying to become a big power. Iran and Afghanistan are also our immediate neighbours, but they, being Muslim nations, have brotherly relations with Pakistan.
Our relations with china are also very cordial. China has helped us in every difficulty. China is the first country which had accepted Pakistan when it came into being. But Russiaand India have always tried to harm Pakistan. We have had three wars with India during the last ten fifty, and Russia has always supported our enemy. In 1971 India, supported by Russia, created trouble for us in East Pakistan and, at last, we lost more than half of our country. Our relations with India are still quite strained, but it is hoped that in future India and Russia will agree to have friendly relations with Pakistan.
In 1998. India conducted five nuclear tests to get upper hand on Pakistan. But Pakistani nation is a living nation. They also decided to pay back India in the same coin. They also stages seven nuclear tests and in this way the balance of power in South Africa again become the same. India's dream to become a super power and atomic power shattered. Pakistan also proved that she is not less than India in any field. Pakistan has proved its technology best and superior.
Pakistan has very friendly relations with her neighbours in Western Asia. We have very close ties with Turkey and Iran under the R.C.D programme. Our relations with the Arab world too are very close. We also have several treaties with different countries of the world. Pakistan is also a member of CENTO. But these institutions are worLhless, and they never helped Pakistan in times of need....
