I have been very amazed by the fashion industry ever since I saw my mother perform in a fashion show at our church in Philadelphia. I enjoy the act the performers put on for the audience, it was very energetic. Also the attire was very exciting to watch because my grandmother made the clothing. After that event I began to pay more attention to the fashion industry. From fashion I began to notice celebrities taking more assertive to what they wear in public; more then likely the celebrities believe they have to have a fashion statement when their in lime light of the public. The fashion industry plays a huge role on today’s society because people want to fit in the crowd; for example, when I was attending high school a new pair of Jordan’s would come out and my peers would instantly retrieve it because they felt the old pair of Jordan’s was no use. All my other peers who didn’t get the chance to get the new pair of Jordan’s were being talked about which made them feel like outcasts. That is why the fashion industry plays a huge role in today’s society because no one wants to feel like an outsider. I find fashion to be very competitive and challenging because there are different trends. Fashion is challenging
because each designer has to come up with a new idea to get customers to buy their

product and to also beat out their opponents. Being in the fashion industry brings out the best of creatively, it makes a designer or models strive to be the best. It also comes with emotions and stress. This type of industry comes with emotions and stress because each person believes their work should be at perfection. Being in the fashion industry comes with good benefits such as jobs, greater share of wealth through out the world, and getting your name out to the public. I expect my peers to know enough about the topic because it is well known through out the United States; there are advertisements everywhere billboards, internet, radio advertisements, commercials...
