Analysis of the green tree
Short stories consist of many aspect. One of this aspects is imagination , every story and every author needs to have an imagination . in this short story the green tree by « Zakariyya Tamir » is full of imagination and fantazy .the title (Green Tree) is the place where the main and the secondary characters meet. Randa and talal are the main character of that story thier first meething. while randa is crying because of her mother who doesn’t want to buy her a red frock saying that (buying a bread is more important than buying a red frock )talal appears suddenly without any arangement or expectations Randa was very surprised ,bewildered and frightened saying who are you ? the pretty little girl dont care from where he came .he emerged from the rock where Randa was sitting in .the setting of this story is very important because is the place of the first meeting and begining of a new advanture .Talal is an unreal charactere he is there as a marvel for Randa as she was waiting for him to wiped fer eyes and to cheer her up. The author is the one who is telling the story of the « Green Tree » , the omnicient point of view is used since a third person narrator who knows every thing about the characters .after the conversation both character fit with each other they became friends .Talal trys to use his wits to get Randa play with him they both imagine many situations and act them out such as imitating the raven then they act a play where Randa is the queen and Tallal is the commander of the queen’s army another act tallal is the beggar and randa is the rich as it is clear tallal always trys to satisfy her and sheer her up to forget the red frock . always gives her the advantage . the final action which is more imaginative .both characters turning into a rock from where tallal emerged and this is a metaphor for the loss of innocence .Concerning the mood or the tone of the story it is almost ordinal from frightening to exitement and...
