I have been here all night setting up the wire, between the Twin Towers, there is a cool breeze blowing and the stars are bright. In just a few minutes I will walk across the wire I have set up, I will be 500 meters up in the air, with New York below me. The closer it gets the more hungery I become to walk across the wire I am excited.
Finally it is set up, I step down onto the edge of the building, I have one foot on the wire and the other on the ledge of the building. I am thinking to myself that I could go falling 500 meters down.
I take my right foot of the building, slowly and balance myself on the thin wire, as I walk the wire it has just become dawn, the sun is rising slowly, it is a great sight of New York city.
People down below are cheering as I walk the wire. I get to the other side where John is waiting for me. I hand him the balance poll and get off the wire and sit down. I am calm but my heart is racing with excitement. I know my journey is not complete, I have feeling inside that I must go back.
I get back on the wire, slowly as I get to the middle of the wire I get down on one knee, balancing myself there I look down at the streets below, people watching and cheering me on, what an amazing felling!
I start walking to the south end of the tower where JP is, but I see the police are behind him they are shouting louder and louder for me to get off. I put the balancing poll behind my shoulders and turn around, as I walk back along the wire toward the north tower, I see there are two more police officers on the north side. I chose to lie down in the middle of the wire, lying on my back not thinking that I would fall, I look at the sky the sky is music to my ears. I get back on my feet slowly and walk to the end of the wire, the wire starts to shake and I am thinking is this the end, but I can’t end my walk with doubt, then it stops shaking and I jump off the wire. The police are waiting for...
