Employee Policy Manual




I. Non-Discrimination
Skippy’s Barber Shop is an equal opportunity employer and will provide an environment that is free from discrimination in employment and opportunity based on sex, creed, race, color, sexual orientation, ancestry, or national origin. This is a zero tolerance policy.
Discrimination is also prohibited in any location that is an extension of Skippy’s Barber Shop. All of the employees are responsible for complying with this policy.
Skippy’s Barber Shop will make reasonable accommodations if necessary for applicants and employees with disabilities, provided the applicant or employee is qualified to safely perform the job and if the accommodations are not too expensive or too difficult to make.
If any employee feels that he or she has been a victim of discrimination, notify the departments Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance (EEOC).
Skippy’s Barber Shop will thoroughly investigate claims of discrimination and take corrective action if warranted.
II. Sexual Harassment
All employees are responsible for ensuring that the workplace is free from sexual harassment. Because of Skippy’s Barber Shop strong disapproval of inappropriate sexual behavior on the job, all employees must avoid any conduct or action that may be perceived as sexual harassment.
Sexual harassment is any behavior of a sexual nature whether verbal or physical that is unwelcoming and offensive to an individual. Examples of sexual harassment include but are not limited to: sharing sexually inappropriate videos, displaying inappropriate pictures, inappropriate jokes, inappropriate touching, staring in a sexual manner, asking sexual questions etc, cat calls, whistling at someone, sexual innuendos, neck massage, giving personal gifts, following a person, etc.
