Posed to Be There

The importance of a soldier on being at a prescribed place at an appointed time is very crucial in the military. If I as a soldier want to succeed in the military I must go out of my way to get squared away on place of duty. I have been told that there are three basic rules of the army. The first one is do what your told. The second is be in the right uniform. The third is be on time. Technically I broke two out of the three. I did not do what I was told by not being on time, and I’m paying for it by writing this rbi. It is important to be on time for many reasons. If you are late you can miss important information put out. As a future leader you should always do the right thing and take the extra time to teach your peers what the standard is and in order to teach the standard you have to live by it. Showing up late gives the impression that you do not care about what your leadership puts out. Also by not being on time you cause your leadership to lose faith in that you are not responsible enough to be on time and perform all of your duties at hand. On the battle field if your late what are you going to do. You just got your battles killed because you arrived to the fire fight late. Then what ,I don’t think I could live with myself knowing that I was supposed to be somewhere at a certain time, but because of my lack reponsibilty I showed up late so my actions got someone killed. Technically u might as well fired the round because you where not there to cover them, if you was there maybe your battle would still be alive.
