Throughout the history of the United States, women have slowly changed their status in society. Women are now realized to put just as many hard hours of work in a day as a man does. For many, many years in history, women were always known as the ones to stay at home and take care of the children while running the household too. It has taken well over a 100 plus years for the first woman to be brought into the House of Representatives. When the 19th Amendment was passed, it finally gave the women the right to vote.
