                                                       Neolithic Revolution
        There were many turning points throughout the course of history, but one major turning
point was the transition from the Paleolithic to Neolithic era. This transition set the course of
history and it had various social and economic effects on the world. The causes of the Neolithic
era, to this day, vary. Some say that the nomads finally decided to settle down and increase the
population. The nomads also have realized that to feed the growing population, they can't only
rely on meat, but a steady food supply. One social effect was the growth in population and one
economic effect was surplus of food. These causes and effects of the Neolithic revolution, in
turn, shaped the world.

         To begin with, there were many social effects of the Neolithic revolution. One effect was
the population growth. As people started to settle, family sizes began to expand. This caused
population to increase and expand to different places. People also started becoming more
independent and made their livings with their own abilities. Another cause of the revolution was
women started becoming more significant. According to the document, "Women and the
Agricultural Revolution, " "Because women were the foragers or gatherers in hunting-gathering
societies (while men were normally the hunters), woman probably developed agriculture. This is
implying that, due to the leisure time women had in the hunting-gathering societies, they had
time to explore new things. These social effects were what shaped the world we live in right
now.

      Secondly, there were various economic effects of the Neolithic era. One effect was the
surplus of food....
