Allowing Homosexual Marriages Will Be Detrimental To Our Society:
There will always be differences in opinions about sensitive subjects such as same sex marriages. I was raised in a Christian home to believe in the King James Bible that marriage is to be between a man and a woman. They are to reproduce and raise children using the same Bible on teaching morals and values. My research will include topics such as the purpose of sexual acts, the union of a man and a woman to make new life, why children need mothers and fathers, identifying sexual identity and possible psychological, social and health problems in the children.
As human beings we have a built in desire to engage in sexual intercourse. Males and females each have a reproductive system. Without both parts, reproduction cannot happen. The question that arises is why would we have organ systems at all if we were not supposed to create children? Same sex marriages would not be using their reproductive organs for their intended purpose (Heany). I personally believe that a relationship should only be between a man and a woman. I believe this mostly because of the reproductive system, and that it is quoted in the Bible that I was raised to believe in. God created us to procreate. If we were of the same sex we would not be able to reproduce children.
It is necessary for a man and a woman to have sex in order to create a new life. A new life cannot be created with same sex couples. Although adoption is an option, the creation only becomes between a man and a woman. If same sex marriage is legalized it will declare that the purpose of marriage has nothing to do with making babies or giving children to mothers and
fathers (Gallagher). I personally think that if same sex marriage is legalized it will completely take away from what a true marriage has to offer: a loving and caring relationship between a husband and his wife, which is what God...
