Aldous Huxley makes sure to rub several of his satirical ideas in our faces throughout the entire book. Since the book was published in the 1930s it is not up to date with the years but in essence it can still be drawn upon for its witty satire, Brave new World is a satire of drugs. I believe that it is a satire of drugs because in reality, drugs are used by prescription and are extremely dangerous, and abusing them could be absolutely harmful In Brave New World, drugs are not only beneficial and completely harmless, but are actually encouraged by the big-brother-like society that is the World State. The only thing is that when some people do not take the drugs that everyone else is taking, there is chaos. Everyone in the world state Is drugged up except for the people that choose not to take them and minds are clouded by the drugs. This book is also a satire of religion. Solidarity service adopts and mocks the major forms of religion, but virtually adopts the religious taboo and includes it in the religious ceremony as the climax of the ceremony. Huxley obviously has an extremely good view on what religious figures would find absolutely appalling in a religion. Also, the replacement of wherever God’s name would be mentioned with Ford is priceless, given that Ford is not even the right name for the person they are hailing. Brave new world is also a satire of Sex. It is a satire for sex because sex is used in religion. Little children are taught to unzip each other’s clothes even in preschool. The adult women in the book wear belts with contraceptives on them, It is preprogrammed into all females to go through the proper procedure, no matter how drugged up they are. There are actual pornographies that everyone watches, only they can feel them too, called Feelies. It’s a normal thing to sleep with someone on the first date, and it’s also encouraged to have...
