Since man has evolved, he has been curious- curious about his surroundings, his birth, his life and even his death. He has questioned every incident around him whether it is an “apple falling from a tree” or a “thunder-lightening”. His curious mind led him to a journey in the quest of finding these answers. He came across religion which answered his question regarding birth, death and life after death. He came across philosophy which answered questions about his life-its purpose and ethics. And finally he came across science. Science provided him with answers to all basic questions he was looking for. However in contrast to the others science used experimental observations and logical proofs. Though people may say that science never provides solutions rather it poses more questions, I believe that science is the most important tool required to provide solution to any question. Although it does pose more questions to be answered, it is the ultimate source of answer.
Science has been able to provide solution to most of the questions posed by man. It has answered question regarding the functioning of our body, the characteristics of our surrounding, nature of the planet we live in and many more that are today taken for granted as “common sense”. It has provided solutions to biological, environmental and computational problems. The questions “why an apple falls to the ground?” or “how far the moon is?” would have never been answered without science. Not only does science provides us with answers and solutions but it also provides us with convincing reasons to believe in its theories and explanations. Scientific methods include techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge, or correcting and integrating previous knowledge, based on gathering observable, empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning. Thus, science has provided us with convincing answers to most human queries, and to say that science ‘never’ provides...
