TOPIC: A Descriptive Study on the Preference of Filipino Teenagers in Choosing Music: OPM / Foreign
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:
The main problem of the study is to determine the preference of Filipino teenagers (16-18 years old) in choosing music between Original Pilipino Music and Foreign Music.
1. What are the respondents’ profiles: age, gender, socio-economic status?
2. What are the respondent’s musical preference (OPM or Foreign)?
3. Is there a relationship between the respondent’s profile and music preference?
4. What are the reasons why Filipino Teenagers prefer (OPM/Foreign) music?

THESIS STATEMENT:
While most Filipino teenagers would view OPM as deep and heavy love ballads, many could see foreign music as upbeat, catchy and happy songs that made it a hit in the local industry.
