A sigh is a message, it let’s out your inner emotions: miserable, confused, relieved, fed up, lost or just tired. She felt lost, after a day that was tough and tiring she couldn’t control her sighs. Her car pulled up into the drive way but she didn’t get out, she was lost in her thoughts. Suddenly she sat up straight getting back to earth, then she did what she always did on a bad day: she went to see the sunset.
The path was made of stone which shined in the last light of the day. It ended in a long beach filled with long grass, rocks, and trees which were bent over the water like hunchbacks staring at the ground. A thousand blue diamonds glittered in the distance as they and the long grass moved together, swaying in an imaginary beat.
There was only silence and even the birds who were silhouetted against the sky did not cry out. The sky itself was a deep orange streaked with a million shades of red, pink, and purple. She watched the setting sun, it was a fiery ball of wax as it sank below the land and seemed to warm everything. Darkness started to creep across the water when she saw the sun disappear- at least for that day.
Her face was hidden in the shadows as she got up, and with one last look at her surroundings she left walking down the path who’s stone was now cold. Her street had a few lamps lit and her house seemed warm and pleasant. But one thing was different she was smiling at the night and was peacefully, happily, contentedly: sighing.
