AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of this project is to gain a firsthand insight into the level of youth unemployment in the Sion Hill area.
Objectives: Having completed this project the researcher would like to find out;
*The cause of youth unemployment in the area
*The average length of time youths were unemployed
*There educational levels
*Those who are actively seeking employment
*The effects of unemployment on their, mental/ physical health
* What can be done to reduce unemployment in the area?
METHODOLOGY: This research was conducted using a questioner.

The questionnaires were distributed randomly selected to thirty (30) youths is the area of "Village" in the Sion Hill community.
During the carrying out of the project several difficulties were experienced. Chief among these were:
Some of the selected person were unable to read, as a result they were unable to answer the questionnaire. New questionnaires were made and handed out to different people
Persons were unable to cooperate because they believed the projects were political
Some people left out questions in which they were uncomfortable answering
PRESENTATION OF DATA
These findings are based on surveys with 30 unemployed young adults in the Sion Hill area (ages 18 -25) conducted in 2015 as a part of my Economics SBA.
QUESTION: Highest level of education
Results from the survey show that majority of the respondents have attained a level of education as high as Secondary school. Which is the age at which most people drop out of school. Few have gone on to gain Tertiary and Extra-Tertiary levels of education
