Surfing is one of life's greatest natural highs and cannot be matched by even the best of the worlds drugs. Surfing can make society a better place through many different aspects. Such aspects including overall mood of society, becoming "Green", or even products made associated with surfing.
Surfing can be a very positive influence upon or society today with a mellow yet aggressive attitude it can turn a stressed out and angry mind into a relaxed and confident person. There is an invisible force that exists in the nature of surfing, that helps you appreciate life's smaller aspects. Whether it's the scenery of the Earth's oceans or using one of our planet's cleanest most natural forms of energy for pure enjoyment.
If you have been surfing before you know that the feeling associated with getting the ride is indescribable. It can be a ten foot surfing perfect or a 6 inch ankle bitter, the feeling of being free and floating along natures version of a magic carpet ride, cannot be matched.
Another aspect that makes surfing such an amazing sport is the scenery associated with it. The most beautiful places in the world tend to have the best waves. Coupled with the ride of the wave surfing is one the world's greatest discoveries. Imagine floating in the ocean, with the sun set draping the sky a deep luscious orange, feeling the water drain every ounce of stress from your body into its deep and mysterious void. If you can imagine that then you know one tenth of what it feels like after getting out of the water from a surf session. If people can use that feeling instead of drugs and violence society would be stronger, safer, and a much healthier place.
The sport of surfing can provide for family outings or a personal get away when needed. Either way surfing can be an escape from society's screwed up ideals, and helps you to realize and appreciate the simpler things in life.
