Of course football, soccer, and hockey are most said, but one sport that gets overlooked a ton is swimming. The amount of pressure, not only on you to perform but also on your body is like no other. The sport of swimming is also hard on the mind. In order to perform at your highest level your mindset has to be there as well. Swimming is one of the more physically demanding sports and has a drive to it like no other. When it comes to sports it’s the hard work and dedication that you put in that makes you your best. In any sport training is key, and you need it to get better. The constant motion of your swim stroke, over time it takes a big toll on your body. I have been swimming since I was six years old and I’ve been through two shoulder surgeries, but I’m still going at it. At practice you swim from anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000 yards a day. Conditioning is very important for swimmers because without it your times suffer dramatically. Hard work is a must for swimmers and you get out only what you put in. One thing is always certain, hard work always pay off. experience that not many people can do. When approaching a race it is extremely important to go in with a positive attitude and never backing down is a trait that has to be a must. There is so much adrenaline rushing through your body, you’re as pumped as ever. In order to compete in a race at a high level and to be one of the best there has to be the drive and focus, plus the will to win. Swimming in a race and your as tired as can be but you just fight through the pain and finish hard. That’s the greatest feeling knowing you tried your best and swam as hard as you possibly can.
