Nothing is more demoralizing than wanting to purchase something you may want or need, but you just lack the required funds. Now days in current 21st century, transportation is the biggest component in commercial markets everywhere. From that, gas is also a large factor in transportation and in many ways as an annoyance to everyone whom he or she drives a vehicle. Although, recent innovations in technology allows new electrical vehicles like cars and some trucks to use electricity rather than gad. Also, now that they are being mass produced, these new vehicles are already helping everyday families save money and afford the things they need or want.
Back in 2011, while I was still in jr. high, my mother was in the possession of an old Jeep. A simple two door, four passenger vehicle made to have fun in the mud and always unreliable as the automobile broke down a lot. On top of that, it only got a mere 14 miles per gallon. At the time, it took approximately 40 minutes just for me to get to school. Any gas paying person knows that he or she will be making frequent stops at a gas station just to fill up the tank which will then empty the wallet.
Over time the trip really hit my mom and I hard. Financially, it even got to the point where all we ate was similar to that of a poor college student on financial aid. Around the same time, my mother had a child, my brother, Brock Ward. When I think about it now, I remember my mom get so frustrated with the simplest of things. I suppose our money crisis was the cause of turning my nice mother into a mean, blunt woman. Something had to change.
One day after school, a strange, tan colored car pulled up to me and oddly enough, my mother was in the driver’s seat. After entering and putting on my seat belt, my mom told me what she had done and all the nice features this new Toyota Prius had.
