The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

The title of my book is THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS by Ann Brashares. The main characters in the story are Lena, Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen. They are four best friends who are always together, but they are about to have the biggest summer of their lives. Lena is beautiful, smart, and artistic. She is also shy and she trusts no one, but her friends of course. The one thing she distrusts the most is boys. She loves to paint. She is from Greece, and she always says that she is nothing like her parents. She has a little sister named Effie, and she is the exact opposite of her, too. Effie is the fun and adventurous one that loves boys more than anything. Effie is very flirtatious with boy while Lena avoids them. One of Lena’s friends that is also nothing like her is Bridget. She is fun and always full of energy. She plays soccer very well too. Bridget is blunt, and very far from shy. She loves boys, and she is not afraid of anything. Tibby is shy and moody, but she loves her friends. In the story she meets a girl named Bailey who has Leukemia, and she changes Tibby’s life. Carmen is the original owner of the pants that she found at a thrift shop. Her friends are always talking about her but that she got from her Puerto Rican side of the family, and she is usually proud of it. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her mother. She is deeply wounded by her father who she spends her summer with and she turns from a saucy Puerto Rican girl to a wicked Step Daughter. Bridget is my favorite character in the story because I feel like people didn’t like her because she was beautiful. She has a very bubbly and fun personality, and she’s always energetic.
This is mainly how the story began. The pants came out at Carmen’s house where all the girls met before they had to leave. Tibby was very upset about everyone going their separate ways. They all tried to cheer her up by giving her pep talks. Tibby saw the pants on top of Carmen’s clothes and told her to give...
