It can be difficult to define Wisdom, but people generally recognize it when they encounter it. I know that it involves an integration of knowledge, experience, and deep understanding that incorporates tolerance for the uncertainties of life as well as its ups and downs. There's an awareness of how things play out over time, and it confers a sense of balance. Wise people generally share optimism that life's problems can be solved and experience a certain amount of calm in facing difficult decisions. Intelligence, if only anyone could figure out exactly what it is, may be necessary for wisdom, but it definitely isn't sufficient; an ability to see the big picture, a sense of proportion, and considerable contemplation contribute to its development.
The wisest person that I know would be my mother; she was raised all over the world, her father was in the Air Force, she has experienced different cultures, and has an understanding of life that is incredible. She is compassionate, responsible, caring, has integrity, she is committed to everything that she does, and she never stops expanding her mind. She is a women of great strength to overcome all of the obstacles that she has had in her life; for example, raising two children on her own, losing her mother to cancer, and going to collage to get her nursing degree and all of this was happening within the same year. She has used what happened in her life to help so any other through hard times, to help them understand that it may feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but there is always hope; she has always been the type of person to find the positive in any situation, she has an ability to intuitively understand the whole of a situation and still be fair to all party’s involved.
