MMORPG PVP MC LFG BWL. Alphabet soup? People all around the world use these terms regliously. MMORPG is short for massive multiplayer online role playing game. One of the most popular MMORPG’s of our time is World of Warcraft. Most people spend more then five hours a day on this game. There are even some people who spend more time to this game then sleeping or working. But why spend so much time on a silly little game? World of Warcraft has a interesting background. It is built on the previous installments of the serious Warcraft I, II, and III. Basicly it is the aftermath of the great wars and the bloody relationship between the horde and the alliance. The alliance is composed of Humans, Gnomes, Dwarfs, and Night-Elves. The horde is composed of Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, and Undead.
In-game there is many options to who you are. There is a charater customization menu which allows everyone to be ''special''. Then you can choose your class. There are nine classes, shaman, rogue, priest, paladin, druid, warlock, mage, warrior, and hunter. Warriors are the mightest of the classes in terms of strength and is a great melee class. Rogues are the quick, deadly, and sneaky class who can turn invisible and sneak past enemies. Priest are the healing, holy class who can keep your teammates alive when you fight. Paladins are a hyrid class with high defence and healing powers. Hunters are the ranged class of the game, using traps, guns, bows, and pets. Mages are the most arcane potent in the game, using ice, fire, and arcane to inflict damage. Warlock is the shadow class of the game, summoning demons and stealing souls. Druids and Shamans are the hyrids of the game with the pontiental to be a spell slinger, healer, or melee.Druids and Shamans are very much in touch with nature.
