What and how the us got involved
World War I; World War II.
World War I, was the First World War, the Great War, and “The War to End All Wars”, was a global military conflict that took place mostly in Europe between the year of 1914 and 1918, and it left millions dead and re-shaped the modern world.
The outcomes of World War I would be important factors in the development of World War II 21 years later.
World War I began in September 1914 and lasted until 1918. The First
World War began when German troops poured into Belgium, although many Americans
wanted to stay out of the war, and the United States did not enter the war until the year of
1917.
At the very beginning of World War I, Germany went to war to achieve
aims, such as setting up informal empire, or whether having found themselves at war,
they began to think about what they would do with the victory they hoped to win. It didn’t
happened till the fall of 1918, when Germany win the victory of a compromise peace. At
this point Britain went to war because it saw a Germany victory as a threat to its security,
and for a long period of time Britain had fought to have a stable balance of power in
Europe.
Germany had a really high hope of winning World War I, especially after amaze advances
early in the year of 1918. Russia’s exit from World War I in 1917, and this is when
Germany was positive of winning the War.
The outcomes of World War I, were Wilson’s ‘Fourteen Points’ that were
meant to reduce the causing of great difficulty against Germany, though everyone
accepted them as a starting point, not everyone shared Wilson’s forgiving attitude.
France was very positive that Germany would attack again and insisted on the harshest
terms of a truce in a war to discuss terms for peace.
