Emperor Hirohito
Hirohito a man of little power during World War Two had hard decisions to make during this time of hardship for his country that he so loved. Although he was the ruler at the time, he had no power to say what to do to protect it was up to his military leader, and his staff. He was more of a symbol or just an item that represented Japan. In the hardest time, when a decision had to be made, they came to the ruler of the imperial family, he made the choice to attack Pearl Harbor, Making the greatest man in history and having the greatest influence on history. One decision can change the present and future of history forever.
Born on the 29 of April 1901, the eldest son of Crown Prince Yoshihito, his father took of the empire when Hirohito was only eleven years. Watching his father rule the land for fifth teen years before taking the thrown himself after the passing of his father in 1926. Hirohito became the first of the imperial family travel the land for a six month European tour. Hirohito broke through bounders that his father or grandfather ever did. From the start of his ruling, his people could tell that there was something special about this ruler. Hirohito did the necessary for the people of his empire. In 1924 he married an imperial princess, Nagako. He became the father of seven children. The emperor was regarded as divine by many Japanese. In reality he had little power, with civilian and increasingly military officials deciding national policy. He reluctantly supported the invasion of Manchuria and the war against China, and attempted to encourage cooperation with Britain and the USA. However, he had no choice but to approve the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor that led to war between Japan and the United States in December 1941. Despite his lack of enthusiasm over the decision to go to war, he was pleased with the Japanese military and naval successes that followed. He frequently appeared in military uniform to raise morale....
