A Review of Schindler’s List

Schindler’s list was written by Thomas Keneally in 1982. It is a kind of frightening history book based on the real life of Mr. Schindler. This book was more than popular and well-known among students and scholars because it reflects the situation and tragedy of Jews lives in World War II.
The story basically took place in Poland during the Second World War, 1939. Schindler was a noble German man who owned a factory in Poland. He’s not an intellectual man, but he learnt quickly, felt passionate and knew who to trust. He opened his factory in Plaszow to create military weapons served to the German’s government with the workers both Polish and Jews, since they required low salary. In WW II, German took control over Poland, all the Jews were having a difficult time. They were supposed to be treated as objects and worse than animals. Some were killed or worked to death. When Schindler observed how the SS Nazi treated first the Czechs in Sudetenland and then the Jews in Poland, he began his own war against the Nazi system. Putting his life at risk everyday, he used his impressive charm and energy to save the lives of as many Jews as possible.
Because Schindler was rich and had many connections with top ranking people in the row of German’s government, he was allowed to hire Jews people to work in his factory, with a low-paid salary, under one condition was to create military weapons and stuffs to serve the German’s government. Jews who lived and worked inside the factory were safe and escaped death while Jews who lived outside were shot everyday like deer.
Years passed, the war was still in progress and Germany still continued the program of Anti-Jews in Poland. Million Jews were died, and the factory was no longer a safe place anymore.
