What are the causes of Breast Cancer and how to prevent the cancer?
Breast Cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. This type of cancer effects women all over the world. Most of the women having this cancer are effected by their health, emotional conditions, even losing their lives. We can’t change the risks factors such as age, race and family history. However, by eating the right choice of food and being active may help to fend off the development or recurrence of the disease. Researchers and cancer specialists are trying to explore the factors which are increasing the Breast Cancer. Until today, they have not been able to find the cure. I explored my research on “What are the causes for Breast Cancer risk?” and I found that high carbohydrates may increase the risk however, not all carbohydrates are harmful.
I explored the Internet and found one article written by Barbour Warren Ph.D, “Dietary Carbohydrates and Breast Cancer Risk.” I found this article by searching Google as “what are the main causes of Breast Cancer risks”. My Intended audience is all women who want to prevent from Breast Cancer and how to cure form this disease. Carbohydrates are the energy producing nutrients from food such as grains, fruits, and vegetables. They are our major source of food energy or calories. Carbohydrates in our diet affect the body’s level of blood glucose and the insulin like growth factor (IGF). Higher levels of IGF may directly or indirectly affect breast cancer risk. According to the author, “A number of studies have suggested that higher blood levels of IGF may be linked to an increased risk of premenopausal but not postmenopausal breast cancer risk”(Barbour Warren, pg.2). From this article I have learned that carbohydrates increase blood glucose levels which are the main causes for Breast Cancer.
