Clinical Assessment of Tony Stark
I. Identifying Information
The patient’s name is Anthony Stark, who prefers to go by Tony. He is a Caucasian/white heterosexual male in his late 20’s. Tony lives in the United States and resides in Malibu, California. Tony is referred to as a genius, visionary and an American patriot. He is a prodigy in fulfilling his father’s shoes in the business of technology, weapons, and science to make the world a better place.
II. Chief Complaint/Presenting Problem
Tony had a weapons presentation for the military and on his way back home his transport was attacked. He witnessed many soldiers get killed in the line of fire and he himself was blown up by one of his own weapons. He was captured by the enemy. When he woke up he had a device implanted by another captive in his chest that was keeping him alive. Tony was told he had to make the very weapon he just presented to the military but when he refused he was tortured until he agreed. However, he secretly created something different, a suit of armor that he planned to use to help with their escape. His friend did not survive but through the shootings and explosives Tony managed to destroy all of the weapons from Stark Industries and escaped but crashed into the hot desert. Traveling in the sand under the hot sun he was found by the military and his friend Rhodes. Rhodes and Ms. Potts (Tony’s personal assistant) showed their care and affection to Tony when he came back and only a few people knew about his chest implant. His first action when he got home was to announce a change in direction for Stark Industries. He hated that his weapons were being sold under the table to the wrong people and were being used against the very people they were made to protect.
