Bloom’s Taxonomy I think Bloom’s Taxonomy stood out to me because of the figure above. I kind of thought of it as a pyramid, and the principles of learning as the blocks to build it as the figure suggests. For me right now it pertains directly to my returning to school to identify with this; and in the raising of my children. Remembering- It is one of the most common things we forget to do, until it’s things we want, love, or need. But for me right now I believe it is remembering my motivation and reasons I want to further my education. It also applies to my children because of information that is shared between me and my wife about different things. For example if she discovers something the kids are allergic to I have to remember that for future references. Understanding- With school the learning portion will be understanding how my online education works. With my kids understanding means so much. One example is I noticed my daughter was struggling with on particular teacher in school. Once I went her school I noticed that the teachers class was less hands on and visual. Applying- Once I learned about this situation with my daughter’s class. When she came home, all her work from other classes she does alone. We finish work from his class together. I find different ways for her to understand such as pictures or graphs in her text books. Applying what I understood. With school it will be applying the information I am learning about how this system works with information from my coarse. Analyzing- I have learned how Ashford universities online classes are set up. So now I am focusing more on how it all fits together. Like our text books, weekly assignment, getting help etc. My son picked up some habits he had never had and I did not know where from. I met one of his friends and noticed these habits in him.
