English Essay.
I yelped as the coffee overfilled and burnt my hand. It was my last day of work for two weeks; can you blame a girl for not concentrating? Even the scorching hot coffee could not take the wide grin I had on my face. Just one hour to go, then I didn’t have to think about work for a whole two weeks. I rushed to the bathroom and bathed my burnt hand in cold water. As soon as the sting left I looked up and stared at myself in the mirror. I looked like I had just got out of bed; I was so excited about tomorrow that sleeping became one of the most impossible things to do! My long blonde hair was frizzy and uneven. My makeup looked like it had been done by an ape, and the bags under my eyes stood out against the pale blue glimmer in my pupil. Normally I would have cared but I vowed not to let anything put me down. Just one more hour left. Then tomorrow I could drive away with Mike and forget about work.
My eyes opened straight away and I looked at my alarm and smiled. I jumped out of bed faster than a spider leaping for its prey. I slipped in to my new clothes, brushed my long blonde hair and looked in the mirror. I looked like a mess but there was this certain glow, it was very rare that I was ever this happy. I left my complexion as I heard a car beep outside, it was Mike, he was just on time, my grin grew wider as I ran to get my bags, locked the house, and ran to the car. Mike took my bags and gave me a light peck on the cheek as he put them in the trunk. We got in the car and just looked at each other and smiled, “ready?” Mike shouted, I think he was over excited a bit. I nodded and we left my driveway and drove away. I looked at Mike again; he was a very tall person. He had chocolate coloured hair with sky blue eyes. He was wearing the shirt that he knew I loved.
My eyes opened, I must have dozed off. I let out a big yawn and extended my arms up to stretch. Mike turned to look at me and smiled, “just in time Sofia”. I glanced outside the...
