Oh the Places I’ve Yet To Go

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go”. Dr. Suess stated in his book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” how people have the means and power to control their lives, and determine where they will end up. In their lives, people can and will find ways to get to where they want to be, as long as they are willing to put in the time and effort to achieve those dreams and hopes.
Many people dream about the future and what they could become. As a highschool student, I catch myself doing this from time to time as well. As Suess stated so well, “You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!” All I need to do is find what I want, and get started at reaching that goal. A great example in a book we have read this year is from S. E Hinton’s The Outsiders. Ponyboy is a greaser that are normally known for being idiotic, slow, and uncaring of their future. Ponyboy, though, is a gifted student who is put into advanced classes. He has his entire life set in front of...
