This is a memo to inform you about the employment law compliance plan for Bradley Stonefield he is wanting to open a limousine service. The name of this limousine company is going to be called Landslide Limousines, the plans to open this limousine company out of Austin Texas, he is planning to have at least 25 employees for the first year of business. So the employment law compliance plan would help with this business to be able to avoid any unlawful activities.
Employment laws are for any business these laws are in place so that the employer and also the employees know how the employer can treat their employees. The laws below are some Texas laws and some of the national employment laws that must be followed.
1. The immigration reform and control act 1986
2. Occupational safety and health act
3. The Texas labor code anti-discrimination provisions
4. The Texas minimum wage law

This act came into play to control issues of unauthorized immigration, so this law was designed in 1986. The new American foundation says that in Texas 9% of their work force is undocumented this be said is the third highest percentage. Like any laws this one had a lot of problems in the beginning of it, so since they had problems the organizations were not held accountable for hiring the people that fell in this category of undocumented workers. These workers were unlawful for them to be in the country but it was not illegal to hire them until the law came into effect.
