Energy Resource Plan
There are limited amount of renewable energy sources on Earth and it is important to conserve energy. It is also important to use renewable sources and conserve our current supply so that natural resources can be available for the future generations. The consumption of non renewable sources impacts the environment causing energy conservation to be important. Renewable energy offers unlimited power that is generated by natural process of wind, water, sun, plant growth, and the heat from earth being changed into steam and heat (Wikipedia). Renewable resources are a natural resource and people can benefit from the use of this and this resource does not run out. A non renewable energy source is that when once it’s been used it cannot be replaced. Fuel is an example of a non renewable source and oil, petrol, or coal (Wikipedia). Their energy is lost forever once they are burned to heat homes or power cars. We can all help to conserve and help the environment by doing several things. The first thing we can do is purchase energy efficient products and use less energy. Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce. We can also help reduce waste purchase products with minimal packaging. Packages with excess packaging or can’t be recycled should be avoided. Air conditioner leakage from automobiles is the largest source of CFC and this damages the ozone layer and contributes to global warming (Wikipedia). In your home you should check the filters on heating and cooling systems monthly or as needed. Seal up cracks in the walls and around the windows this will help energy from being lost. One way the government can assist is by offering incentives to be energy friendly. For example, tax deductions or money back for installing solar panels, driving hybrids, buying energy efficient appliances, and even rebates. The green products are expensive and this is why they are not being purchased. Energy conservations have deemed an importance due to the environmental degration...
