My Best Friend
My best friend Jessica betrayed me by talking about me behind my back to my others friends; I learned to be more careful when choosing my friends. She started saying horrible things about me to my other friends. She was someone I trusted and told everything to. After this whole friendship drama happened I have learned to be more careful and not so open when choosing my friends.
We became friends in middle school and as years pass by we became closer. She was the sister I wish I had growing up. We would hang out everyday and we would tell each other things we did not tell anyone else. During senior year in high school I started to notice us drifting apart from each other. We did not talk and hang out everyday like we would use to. We started only talking to each other once a week and it was never about anything big. It was always a “Hey, how are you? We haven’t hung out in forever”. When we did hang out it was a little awkward because we would not talk to each other like we were best friends. Then all of a sudden we completely stopped talking to each other and that is when I noticed something is not right between us.
One day I was in class and my friend Jenny asked me, “Are you and Jessica still friends because she has been saying a lot of horrible things about you and she also told me something that you told her only and told her not to tell anyone else”? I was so shocked to hear that; I couldn’t believe what was going on. I never in a million years thought I would have to confront/ask her about saying horrible things about me to someone else. The next day I confronted her and she admitted to all the horrible things she has said about me to other people. She even confessed about telling someone something I told her only and specifically told her not to tell anyone. We had a huge argument in school and in front of everyone.
