Green Economy

Our economical and environmental conditions are both in a grim state. The United States is at a record breaking economy low and our current environmental circumstances are just as grave. Some feel a green environment will not alleviate our ecological state of affairs but our economic ones as well. Single handedly, implementing a green environment will have a trivial, if any impact at all on our current deteriorating economic crisis. It will take many other ideas and concepts to regain our once surging economy.
The difference between a swelling economy and a dwelling economy is, during a swelling economy consumers are purchasing many goods and services. Whereas in a dwelling economy the majority of the population is saving and cutting costs instead of spending thereby not contributing to society on a monetary level. Currently in the United States we are experiencing a dwelling economy. Prices for commodities continue to rise while the average income stays at a standstill or even decreases. Joblessness and home foreclosures are also at a record high. Personally I have made lifestyle and spending changes. For example instead of going to eat at restaurants I now cook more frequently. Another major lifestyle change I have made is modifying my spending habits. Within the past few months I have radically reduced my frivolous shopping. Instead I now use my previously allotted pocket money for necessities. As a replacement for new shoes I really don’t need I will go grocery shopping or deposit the extra money in the bank. An additional change I plan to implement is to further my education so I will be a more lucrative employee prospect. I am certain other individuals are incorporating similar changes as well further contributing to our dwelling economy.
