“Hit or Miss”
As she goes inside the doctor office, she sees another clock, a jar, books, scale, and through window, outside the office, a windmill and a pond with a young man fishing. Being in a state of anxiety, the first thing she asks her doctor is “So, I’m not dying?” The doctor looks up at her and answers “I can’t predict that I am only doctor.” Expecting a Yes/No answer, she finds it as a cantankerous response from the doctor. After asking a whole list of questions from her doctor, she longs for knowing what exactly she is suppose to do if she is not dying. As in accordance with her medical situation, the doctor advices her about alternative medical tips such as exercising, taking long breathes when anxiety gets to her etc. Still not being assured, she finally utters out “But I’m so scared of the tomorrow and the day after that.” The doctor tells her that it is normal and not to worry.
Again, she starts “Come on something for the pain to make it go away.” From her statement it sounded like the doctor was trying his best to not prescribe her any medication, instead, treat her by natural health tips. Moreover, she asks again “I just want to know.” When the doctor asks about what she wants to know, she simply retorts “How will I die?” In return, the doctor stares at her and sighs and tells her “How will I live? Try that one first.” Subsequently, she keeps on insisting to know about her future’s uncertainties and relax her mind when she finds out the answer. However, the doctor knew it was not going to help, so he tries to ask her logical question and says “How do you know what’s going to happen before it has happened?” Ironically, that does help. Because in respond to that she says “I don’t even know what to say to that.” In addition to this, the doctor says “Exactly, no one knows this.” For a while, both of them try to think something, but unfortunately, the voices of the windmill form outside takes over the tranquility just takes place in the doctor’s...
