Introduction
Workforce planning is the process of ensuring that an organization can achieve its mission by having the right people with the right skills in the right places at the right times (US Department of Health & Human Services).
InterClean, Inc. is a growing cleaning/sanitary company that plays a major role in the sanitation scene. When health care clients get hit with regulations governing the maintenance of their sterile environment, InterClean and other cleaning companies come into play by providing turn-key solutions that include product training for employees, regular monitoring and info-sharing of new relevant regulations.
Recently, InterClean, Inc. has merged with EnviroTech, Inc. they plan to expand both domestically and worldwide. Their mission is not only to sell cleaning products, but also to be among the first to provide a full-service cleaning solution for organizations in the health care industry.
As the two companies merge together we note that it is not an easy transition for some employees so we need to focus on making it as smooth as possible. The more confident employees are in the transition the more we feel they are willing to participate in the change we are seeking for.
The purpose of this workforce plan is to provide upper management with strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining a quality workforce with the right level and mix of employee skill and abilities to accomplish the goals and mission of the company which is to increase profitability by 40 percent during the next year.
