Interoperability is defined as the aptitude of one system to perform work in integration with other systems without asking for hard work and effort on the part of the user. Interoperability improves the magnitude information technology that makes the networks and integrations work; however these terms are typically used in product marketing and enhancement. Compatibility is a significant term when defining interoperability. Within human service professionals various providers engage in interoperability to communicate with services and system as well for the best result. (Margaret Rouse, 2006).
Administration for Children & Families Interoperability Initiative
The Administration for Children & Families (ACF) is known as a significant Department of Health & Human Services America. Administration for Children and Families support the financial and provide benefits to families, children, and communities, as well as individuals by offering substitute state programs. Administration for Children and Families human service organization provides extensive sorts of groups that involve individuals and families that have low income, Native Americans, refugees, and many others (Administration for Children and Families, 2013). To fulfill its mission Administration for Children and Families has struggled as they provide grants to faith and community-based organizations, local and state governments, non-profit groups, American Indian tribes and Native American communities. Administration for Children and Families also provide administration to fund beneficiaries, technical assistance and supervision that in return are responsible for direct delivery of services (Administration for Children and Families, 2013).
