I was having a hard time thinking about what to write, after a few days of struggling I decided to write the last thing I was interested in. The last thing I was interested in is John Green; A writer and video blogger. I’m going to write how I found out about him and what made me interested in following his works.
One day I was on a website called Goodreads and I was scrolling past the quote section and I read this quote “You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you'll escape one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present.” ― John Green, Looking for Alaska. I kept reading it a few times then wrote on all my social network because I loved this quote and I wanted to read more from the person who wrote it. The next day I went to the bookstore and bought Looking For Alaska the book with my favorite quote. I fall in love with his writing skills so I went again and bought a second book The Fault In Our Stars. Later on I learned he is New York Times bestseller list because of that book and in the work of making it a movie for summer 2014.
John won some awards because of his writing skills and popularity in the Internet world; as he is a video blogger on YouTube with the help of his brother, by that he can connect with his readers and can know what they like to see from him in the future.
With only one quote I finished reading 3 out of 6 of his books and planning on finish reading the rest, his writing skills can put me in another world and I can forget I’m reading a fictional novel, I can stay in my bed reading his books for hours and not get tired or bored. Some of his inspirational quotes are hanging on my wall so I can read them and get inspired or so they can keep me in a good mood.
