Dwight D. Eisenhower was one of the best Presidents this nation has ever seen. It’s very hard to call yourself a leader and to find one is very rare these days. Being a leader is not someone who leads you to victory or leads you to your fortune. A true leader is someone that can really make a difference in people’s lives. Dwight David Eisenhower is a great leader, and showed great characteristics throughout his life.

This article on Dwight David Eisenhower shows how his life was like during his time as president and his modern life. Dwight David Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890 son of David and Ida Eisenhower. Dwight David Eisenhower was the 34th president and believed that any child could grow up to be president of the United States of America. Dwight’s dad David was a store general which failed, so he left to work the railroads in Texas. Dwight was a good student who loved all subjects especially history and eventually graduated from Abilene High School in May, 1909. Dwight than married Mamie Doud on July 1, 1916 , the first 25 years of Dwight’s life was really harsh at the time, his first son had died from scarlet fever. Dwight didn’t let his son’s death get into his head, his 8 years as President was great he accomplished a lot. Eisenhower was the first president to run two full terms because of the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment, so sadly he wasn’t able to run in 1960.
