Dear Mr. Briggs,
In the first chapters of the book Tally the main character turned pretty already and now she doesn't love David the same way she used to. Tally cares about getting the cure to the pretty brain lesions. Croy ( a smokie) brings her the cure to it, some pills. Tally start taking them and she shares them with Zane her beloved. Zane starts getting headaches and tally is trying to find out the problem. Tally knows that she will be with Zane because she loves him.
The theme in this book is hope and love. The author shows us the theme of love when Tally is looking for a cure because she wants him Zane to have brain lesions. She wish to be with him and share their ideas and goals. Another theme we can found in this book is that beauty doesn't work if we don't live happily. Tally became pretty that she is not completely happy. She wants Zane to be healthy.
The author's message is that sometimes we are willing to have something (like tally when she wanted to get the operation to turn pretty) and when we have it we are still not content, because instead of wanting more and more we have to appreciate us as we are. The author teach us that when you love someone no matter if they are having hard situations like Zane we will always be there for them.
Sincerely,

P.S I rate my book a 8 because the story is well developed interesting and makes the audience reflect about their lives although the theme is not clear we can understand it.
