Lord of the Flies

The book I read was Lord of the Flies by William Golding. William Gerald Golding was born in Cornwall, England in 1911. He studied physics and English literature at Marlboro and Oxford University of England. He also took part in the Second World War by joining the British Navy in 1940. After the war (1945-1962), he worked as a teacher in Salisbury. During these years he started writing. He published the books Lord of the Flies (1954), The Inheritors (1955), Pincher Martin (1956) and Free Fall (1959). William Golding, died in Wiltshire, England in 1993.

I feel that the point of this book was that you need to be able to have your voice heard, get along with one another, and to control your self no matter how faraway from the real world you are. The kids forgot about the civilized world, what's important and there morals. After this happened the began justifying murder and acting like savages.

The book Lord of the Flies takes place on a jungle island during a big war going on in the world at the time. They were the only people on this island. This story could have only taken place on a piece of land cut off to the out side world. Some of the major characters in this novel are Piggy, Ralph, Jack, Simon, Roger, Maurice, Robert, and Samneric. Jack is the most evil characters in the book. The nicest characters in the book would have to be Ralph. I would say Jack was the most memorable character because he is just so evil and sinister. there was no rime of reason to his killing and punishing. A sad part in the book but is some how most memorable was when Jack and his tribe took pigs glasses because they were the only thing on the island that the knew how to make fire with. The Piggy, Ralph, and Samneric went to castle rock where Jack and his followers now stay. Then a fight breaks out inside and Piggy stops them and starts talking about how they lost there way and how! they should all work tougher as a democracy. Everyone was...
