To whomever it may concern,
What would you do if you had the opportunity to get a FULL extra period at the end of the day? I am writing to you today to show my worries for North Ridgeville High School and their behaviors. The majority of the students have very low G.P.A’s because they don’t have enough time in the day to have a study hall or some down time with a teacher they need specific help in. That being said if NRHS had an extra period in their day students would most likely get to sleep in a little bit longer. With that opportunity, they would stay awake in more classes because they got more sleep than they usually would. I know I would definitely take this opportunity. If you wouldn’t then how about this?
If NRHS had an extra period the students would have a huge advantage in extracurriculars. Seniors would have a good leap into their last year so they could graduate earlier and students could receive their extra credits they have wanted! The honor roll percentage without study halls or extracurriculars is 32% when it was given, the honor roll percent shot to 82%. If students were behind they could take this opportunity and get the G.P.A they deserve. If G.PA’s were higher that means grades would be higher in fact a lot higher..
If this extra period was taken into consideration, students could use it for more help if needed. With each class being about 50 minutes long, there is time that can be taken from each class to form a study hall or study time with a teacher. Teachers sometimes can’t help the student in class because it’d take too much time out of what they needed to learn that day. I am one of those students that don’t have a study hall all year. It’s really hard to get teachers to help me at the end of the day. When and if the students...
