At first glance this quote might be odd, but let me set the stage for you. In Doylestown, Pennsylvania an English teacher was suspended over her own personal blog. The English teacher, Natalie Munroe, is an English teacher at Central Bucks East High School, who posted, what parents thought to be, derogatory comments about her students. Munroe, over a several month period called her students “frightfully dim," ''whiny" and "tactless." However, Munroe, writing under the screen name Natalie M. did not identify her school, district, colleagues, or students. But the blog did include her picture which was used to identify herself to authorities. After the blog was brought to the attention of the district's superintendent, Robert Laws (Wikipedia), he choose to suspend the teacher who was also pregnant at the time of suspension. In a statement to the press Laws said, “It would be impossible for her to return to Central Bucks East after her maternity leave”.
