The Maycomb Times
Atticus Finch
Today I had the opportunity to interview Mr Finch and ask him some questions about how he thinks the court case with Mr Robinson and Mrs Ewell.
The first question a asked him was how he thought he went in today’s trail, he responded with that he believed that he did a good job it was just that the jury believe that the colour of your skin means that they can’t trust you and must always believe the white person.
The second question I asked Mr Finch was who he thought bashed Mrs Ewell, he said that he thought that it was just Mr Ewell in a drunken rampage after hearing about how his own daughter could have feelings for a person with different colour skin to hers.
The third and final question that I was able to ask Mr Finch was do you think that you will be able to stop Mr Robinson going to jail even if he does have dark skin, Atticus said that he does believe that he will be able to stop Tom having to go to jail for crime which I myself know that he has not committed and I have tried to show them the evidence I have to show this. I think I work hard with Tom we will be able to get the results that we wanted.
Mr Finch believes that he will be able to help Tom Robinson and he knows that it is going to take lot of time and effort to get to the position where he will make the jury see behind the colour of a person’s skin colour and actually look at the evidence that have been given to them clearly showing that Tom is a good and kind man that was only helping Mrs Ewell.
