Gifts That Keep on Giving
Life is nothing without rewards. A reward is nothing unless you can share with other people. Rewards or gifts can come in any way, through a present, through a hug, or even some gifts you already have, but do not even know about it. Although, life it self is a gift, ultimately there is a gift for everything in life, you just have to apply the gifts in the everyday lifestyle.
A person that does what he does and enjoys the work will never prosper. The Gift of Work represents the labor and sweat that it takes to really show what it means to work hard. If you do not put any effort into a job then there is no reason to carry on with it. “He who loves his work never labors,” I believe that when someone labors doing his work he has a purpose, and with working comes rewards.
The Gift of Money represents how much paper really means to you. “Money is nothing less than a tool. It can be a force for good, a force for evil, or simply be idle,” this means money is what you make of it. Money can corrupt or be helpful. Money to me is just another material and how you use it in your life can mean how important it really is.
Friends is the happiness of all people, thus The Gift of Friends means if you have good quality friends you are “wealthy.” A “wealthy person, who calculates riches not in gold but in friends,” is a rich in morals and is not consumed by greed. If a person with greed thinks he is rich by how much money he has he knows the really meaning of loneliness.
The Gift of Learning shows that knowledge is the key to life. “Education” is the tool you need to “expand [your future] as you travel [through life].” I believe knowledge means power. Power means knowing more things to show leadership, thus wisdom you could bring to others. With the wisdom, you make other people learn which means the cycle of learning keeps going and going.
