Wal-Mart

In today’s society I believe a great place where all people rich or poor shop is Wal-Mart; it provides us 24 hour accessibility, a wide range of items for buying, and the usual low prices. But why Wal-Mart you ask, it’s simple, 138 million people shop at Wal-Mart every week. So you have to think about all the Wal-Mart’s in the worlds and how they do it to better the company and the people who shop there. Most people if you do ask them about shopping at Wal-Mart they will say yes.
Marketing is simple for Wal-Mart, they reach out to everyone, not in just prices but the quality of the items for the price they are set at, and the selection of items that are available to the customers. Wal-Mart is what you would call a small business killer, because of the selection for these prices they can put any small business out of profit because you can get the same product at Wal-Mart for let’s say 20 dollars cheaper. They provide a price for customers that are feasible for their sort of lifestyle and price range, even in a time like this where money is a problem Wal-Mart seems to thrive. A great example of the way Wal-Mart promotes itself is through this year’s holiday booklet, inside the booklet you can find that a lot of the items are reduced from their normal price, you will also notice for the first time Wal-Mart is promoting that everything is free shipping. Another add on to Wal-Mart stepping up for the holiday season is to open up their doors midnight of thanksgiving for black Friday. This right here is two excellent reasons why Wal-Mart will still thrive for many years to come.
Advertising is another big issue, for one the store is huge so you can’t miss it when you drive by, and it does not matter whether it is day or night you will always recognize a Wal-Mart. They reach out, through televisions, internet, papers, radio, employees, customers, any way that I know of Wal-Mart has been able to reach out to all of its customers. Even on the road you...
